The Supreme Court, has opened before his Honour Mr. .Justice Edwards, who. in his charge to the grand jury, expressed regret that the calendar, though not long, contained some rather serious cases. The grand jury returned true bills in all instances. The first ease taken was that charging Mathias Peter Beck with manslaughter, arising out of the death of his wife at Norsewood. A MANSLAUGHTER CASE. Napier, Last Night. The Supreme Court is hearing a charge of manslaughter against Ma thins Peter Beclc, arising out of the death of his wife, Mary Ann Beck, at South Norsewood. The ca*e was not concluded when the Court rose this afternoon.
