The bodies of a peasant woman and her four children and baby were found, with their throats cut, on the highway «t Monte Valepaio, in the province of Alemtejo. The husband was subsequently found, similarly murdered. The authorities are pursuing a farmer who i* suspected of the crime, and has fled.
