THE MANAWATU CHAMPIONSHIPS.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston North, Last Night. There was good weather for the continuation of the Manawatu Golf Championship meeting. Two rounds of the championship were played. Kurepo Tareha defeated Colbeck, 4 up and 3 to play; Moore defeated J. Goss, 2 up; .A. Barraud defeated I<\ Gordon. 4 up |and 3to play; 0. 11. Druce defeated T. |D. Harman, 2 up and 1 to play; Imlay I Saunders defeated J. B. Lusk, 3 up and 12 to play; H. B. Lusk beat W. Seifert, land Kapi Tareha beat T. Crosse easily, and A. Seifert beat L. Seifert, 3 up and 2 to play. In the afternoon H. B. Lusk beat Saunders, 1 up; Barraud beat Kurepo, 1 up; Druce beat Moore, and Kapi beat A. Seifert easily. Barraud will meet Druce and Kapi will meet Saunders in the semi-final.
1-1. Crosse (0), 3 up, won the 18-hole bogey match. J. R. McLennan (11), 2 up, was second.
J. Strang, 82—4—78, and R. P. Abraham, 88—9—79, lead in the stroke handicap, with W. T. Harman 83—3—80, E. S. Pearce S7—7—Bo, and E. Stowe 94 14—80 next,
