THE MIKADO.
A THREE DAYS' FUNERAL. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. •Received 12, 1.10 a.m. Bathurst, September 11. The Japanese Consul-General has intimated that the funeral of the Mikado will occupy September 13, 14 and 15 owing to the distance from Tokio to Kioto being 328 miles. Since the deceased first ruled Westernised Japan, the obsequies are expected to establish a precedent.
