The prize of a case of Frimley jam, presented by the Frimley Company, Hawke's Bay, for 1 the first local rider .to finish in. the Kound-tlie-Mountain race, has been divided between A. Codd (Rahotu) and R. S. Renner (New Plymouth), who finished sixth and seventh respectively. The division has been made as the committee was not sure whether the word "local" was to be translated as purely local, or as provincial.
