XJ-W PLYMOUTH CLUE. To-day the first round of tlio championship will lie played, (In; draw being as follows:—Johns v, W. Hewley, W. <J. AYeston v. A. liewley, Ward v. Ilaslam, McConl v. Bury. Flavors engaged in ordinary rounds arc requested to let the above ma (die- pass whenever necessary, so that the championship play may »e inlerefered with as little as possible. The president (Mr. A. Standish) has most generously donated to the club the gum of £ls 15s with which to purchase a trophy for competition among members when the club moves to its new ]inks. The conditions attaching to this trophy are to be fixed by the committee later on. Owing to rain setting in on Thursday afternoon, the fourth mateli for the Thursday Cup had to be abandoned, and will probably be played next Thursday.
