Mr. Donaldson gave notice of motion to introduce a Bill to provide for the readinission of Dick Meagher as solicitor; also to amend the Legal Practitioners' Bill. QUEENSLAND LABOR LEADERSHIP. Received 6, 10.30 p.m. Brisbane, September 6. Mr. Ryan has been chosen leader of the Labor Party, vice Mr. Bowman. THE SUGAR INDUSTRY. Melbourne, September 6. In the House the attention of Mr. Tudor was directed to the published statement that as the result of the scale of wages and conditions, which Mr. Tudor had intimated were acceptable regarding the sugar industry, 1500 men liad already been discharged. It was asked whether he wpuld reconsider his attitude. Mr. Tudor replied that he tad rocpived no representations as to employees losing their employment on account of the scale and conditions.
