Miss Collins, winner of the New Zealand ladies' championship, is a daughter of Dr. Collins. She won the New Zealand championship at Christehurcli in 1010. Last year Miss Collins played in the English championship at Portrusli, but was beaten in the third round. Miss Pear.ce is a daughter of Mr. Arthur Pearce, and is champion of the Wellington Club. Mrs. Collins and Mrs. Pearce were always prominent in the golf world in days gone by, Mrs. Collins being champion of the Wellington Club on several occasions.
