SUMMARY AND FORECAST. c#» f By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Following is the Government Meteorologist's weather nummary and forecast, published at 5 p.m.:—The weather has been generally overcast, with rain and mist in many parts of the Dominion. The winds have been easterly and moderate to strong generally, foie barometer has been unsteady,* with a falling tendency in the south." Forecast: Present indications are for wild and stormy weather shortly, the conditions becoming more threatening everywhere, especially in the south. Rain is probable genWall}*, with snow on the higher levels and hail and >leet at times in the south. Variable winds will probably give way shortly to increasing northeriies, and the barometer will fall yery low in the «outh about Sunday.
