SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, La3t Night. ] The Rev. D. C. Bates (Government Meteorologist), issues the following report:— Summary: Easterly to south-easterly winds have prevailed and decreased in force. The barometer has been very unsteady, rising and falling everywhere, and continuing lower in the north. Cloudy and misty weather has prevailed, with rain in many parts of the Dominion. Forecast: Present indications are for moderate to strong easterly winds prevailing, and squally weather at times. Expect dull weather with" much mist and fog in parts. Rain is probable, on the east coast especially. A temporary rise In the barometer is likely to precede a more decided fall before the end of the week.
