"MYSTERY OF THE GLASS 1 COFFIN.'" During the past few years the "Eclair" Film Company have produce* many and many a photo-play which has found instant favor with the. public, but it must certainly be admitted that in the film under review ''The Mystery of the Class Coffin," they have surpassed themselves. Perhaps the. predominating feature of the film is originality, which, combined with the Hiiniptnousiiess of the scenery, and five magnilieeut costumes, cannot but succeed in making an irresistible appeal to all. The t'lfcme, as the title suggests, is very weird and mysterious, and full of unexpected happenings, wliic'h lend an added attraction to this masterpiece of the silent drama. The supporting films of the current programme are of a high order of merit and include such forceful subjects as "Those Eyes" (Nordisk drama) 'One is 'Business; —the Other is Crime" (A.8.) and "Positive Proof" (Essanay drama). The instructive and educational subjects have not been overlooked, tlJe best of these being "A day in an Austrian Iron Mine," and "Giinmont Graphic." The comic films are all mirth provoking, 'especially tins Prison burlesque " The Yarn of th*' Nancy Bell." The grotesque costumes and the make-up of the mariners of the good ship "Nancy Bell" are in themselves extremely funny. The theme, of course, is taken from the humorous verses by Sir W. S. Gilbert, verses which, known throughout the whole world, make the film all the more, enjoyable. The same programme will be repeated to-night for the last "time. The Empire Symphony Orchestra continues to delight the audience with the sweet music discoursed throughout the evening. J. C. WILLIAMSON'S PANTOMIME. SINBAD THE SAILOR.
