Irish: (Quotations have again advanced, and all choice butters meet with a ready sab'. French: There is an advance announced for Monday next of (id per dozen on the best quality fresh rolls and 3s per ewt. on unsalted baskets.

.Australian and New Zealand: The s.s. Wiltshire came to hand last week-end. but up to the time of writing has not yet docked. Through the congestion owing to the strike they have not yet been able to make room for her. She brings about HOOO boxes, and if there is any really pood quality aboard, we think it will make a satisfactory price. The demand for colonial butter ex store is quiet, which is usually the case during, the hot weather, md while the flush of' the European supply is on, but there is every prospect that all will be cleared during the next few months. CHEESE. There is a little improvement to be noted in the demand, and with this there is a steadier feeling; in fact, many think that prices* have touched the lowest? point. The condition of the Xew Zealand cheese, which arrived per s.s, l\iiahine w.u not all that eouM be desired, part of them showing signs of having been heated, and these have to be sold at

ii shilling or two loss than those that are in {rood order; otherwise prices are unchanged. TALLOW AXD WHEAT. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency <_'o.. Ltd.. have received the following cablegram from their London house under date August 28: Till low—' We quote present spot values for the following descriptions of tallow: Good mutton, 37s .'id per cwt.; good beef. 3.">s per ewt.: mixed, 32s lid per cwt. The market is active. Wheat.—We quote an Australian cargo at 40s c.i.f. The market is quiet hut steady. Buyers are holding off, and the outlook is uncertain.
