I SALE OF HOLSTEINS. ! On Friday next, at Mr. Newton King's Waiwakaiho yards dairy farmers anxious to improve their herds will have an excellent opportunity to secure first grade ' Holstein-Friesian pedigree cows, bulls, and heifers. Mr. King's stud farm at Bell Block being only of small area, it is necessary for him to reduce his herd, and in consequence he has this year declined to sell privately, thinking to suit the public better by submitting his 6tock to public auction. All his yearling bulla, with one exception, will be offered. These are all by either of the two great imported bulls, "King Fayne Segis 2nd" or King Alcarta Pietje," both of which were personally selected by Mr. James (Mr. King's manager) in America after exhaustive inquiries as to the best butter-fat results at that time. In breeding from this stock and in selecting his female herd butter-tfat is and (has been the most important point. All the cows and heifers to foe offered are in calf to the above-mentioned bulls. Luncheon will be provided and catalogues will be forwarded on application. McEwen Bros.' great shoe sale is still running.
