ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
PALLS FROM A BUILDING. By Telegraph—Press Association. Inyercargill, Last Night. Arthur Milne, a carpenter working on the Fanners' Go-operative Association's, new building, fell from the roof, sustaining severe bruises on liis body and face. He was removed to the hospital, where it was ascertained that no bones were broken. Some time later his mate, .Tames Stanway, when mounting a ladder fell to the ground in a state of collapse. He was also removed to the hospital suffering from shock. Both men are recovering. A TRAMWAY ACCIDENT. Wellington, Last Night. A tramcar had to be stopped quickly in Lambton Quay to avoid a collision with a cart. The sudden application ofthe emergency brakes threw the conductor, Ti H. White, violently on to the street, which he struck witli his head. White \va§ taken to the hospital, where he recovered consciousness this evening. He is understood to be in a serious condition.
