WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT. Poultry.—At the mart on Saturday our pens were well filled. Prices showed a decided advance on the. previous week. Hens '(old) made Is 9d j;o 2s 3d, young 2s 7d to 3s lid, pullets (young) 2s to 2s 6d, forward 3s to 5s M, ducks 2s 5d to 3s 2d, drakes 3s Id to 4s, cockerel (young) Is to Is Sd, fat 2s fid to 3s sd. The usual line of shelter trees, shrubs and sundries realised satisfactory rates. Furniture.—ln the Brougham St. Hall, on account of a lady leaving the district, we held a clearing sale of all her household furniture and effect?, .There was a large attendance of the public, and bidding throughout was spirited, prices obtained being satisfactory. ! Fruit.—During the week the new shipment of oranges and bananas came to ■ hand, and met with a ready sale. Prices as under: —Bananas (green) 12s fid to 13s, ripe 3d lb; oranges (originals) lis, re-packs 14s to 15s; mandarins, 12s fid, to 14s; lemons, fis Od to 10s; passions, Cd dozen; apples, best colored desserts, 7s Gd to 9s Cd, walnuts By a d lb.
