<A" Brisbane cablegram states that the imported stallion Lauurlad had a leg broken, through receiving a kick, and had to he destroyed. The stewards of the Canterbury Jockey Club heard further evidence yesterday concerning the scratching of tne Rover for the National Hurdles and again adjourned the inquiry. A Melbourne cablegram states that Vice-Admiral and Allegory have been scratched for the Melbourne Cup. A London cablegram states that Frank Wootton was thrown from a motor cycle on Epsom Downs and slightly fractured his collarbone. A London cablegram states that the jockey Stanley Wootton has been suspended for crossing at the start of a race. He has been reported to the committee of the Jockey Club.
