The ground liad recovered marvellously after 17 hours' continuous rain. There was 80 minutes' play, and rain then stopped play for the day. Morris bowled Jennings in his second over, and took two wickets at a cost of nine. runs. Kelleway and Bardsley made a good stand, the latter hitting* a six.
