BRUSHES ON THE BORDER. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Washington, August 27. Frequent brushes between the American cavalry and the Mexican rebels are reported from El Paso, owing to Mexicans raiding horses across the border. A Senatorial Committee has been appointed to ascertain whether American interests were fomenting Mexican rebellion, and to investigate the conditions of the Texan border.
