A TRUCULENT SPEAKER. By CaUe—Pre» Sydney, August 28. In the Assembly, Mr. McGowen denied the rumor that Mr. Holman would be appointed Agent-General. Mr. Griffith, gave notice of a Bill for the municipalisation of the fish trade. Mr. Cohen, after a brush with the Speaker, which ended in an apology, asked Mr. McGowen to protect him from a man with a biassed mind, who was endeavoring to injure him. The Speaker ordered the sergeant to remove Mr. Cohen, but without waiting for the sergeant Mr. Cohen left, exclaiming, "I will go rather than be bullied by a man like this, who has no right to do it. ELECTION DECLARED VOID. Melbourne, August 28. The Elections and Qualifications Committee lias declared Mr. Farthing's election for East Melbourne void.
