mm NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. | An Edmund's Medal Match was played by the ladies of the New Plymouth Club, yesterday afternoon, and resulted as fol-j lows:— Gross Up. Net Miss Read 105 24 811 Miss Hurdle 107 25 82 Mrs. Johns 107 21 80 Mrs. Whctter 126 40 80 Miss Brewster 100 11 89 Miss MeKellar 119 29 90 Miss Percy Smith has presented a trophy for an electic match for the seniors, and Mrs. Hutton a trophy for the juniors. These will he competed for next Tuesday. The following is the draw for the men's championship:—F. S. Johns plays W. Bewlev, \Y. C. Weston plays A. Bewlev, 11. H. Ward plays J. W. Haslam, and E. Bavy plays P. U. McCord. The first round will be played on Saturday, September 7. Players are reminded that entries for tin? four-ball match on Saturday close with the Match Committee to-night. Entries are to be made singly, as partners and opponents will be drawn. Each pair will be composed of a senior and a junior player. TAR.AIIUA GOLF CLUB. The qualifying round for the club championship will l»e played to-morrow and Saturday. In conjunction with this there will be a medal handicap match. Entries will close.with the Match Committee to-day for Thursday players, and on Friday for Saturday. 'A first prize will be given for the besi; net score, the winner and runner-up iii the championship excepted. In the play-ox at Tarahua for the ladies' sealed bogey handicap for trophy presented by "Mr." Drew. Miss F. Putt, 3 down, defeated Miss Sinclair.
