PRODUCERS' FREEZING WORKS

ANNUAL REPORT,

In their annual report, to be laid before the annual meeting next Saturday afternoon, the directors of the Taranaki Producers' Freezing Works, Ltd., state that the year was coin--1 raenood with a balance "in store of 2857 boxes of butter and 59 cases of daeeee. There was received during the year 173,276 boies of butter (being a decrease on the previous year of 0.24(5 boxes), and also 52,796 cases of cheese (being an increase on the previous year of 12,30(i cases; 145,978 boxes of butter were shipped to London, 211f> to the West of England, 19,925 to Sout'h Africa and British Columbia and local ports, while 45,767 cases of cheese were shipped to London, 6432 to West of England, and 583 to local ports, leaving 8114 boxes of butter and 73 cases of cheese in store on June 30, 1912. The 'balance to credit of profit and loss account is £1532 8s 4d, and the directors recommend that there be allocated to shareholders on the amount of produce put through by them for the year ending June 30, 1911, the sum of 3s 4d per ton on butter and lOd per ton on cheese, and that the balance remaining after such allocation be carried forward. This will probably be the last cash allocation of profits, as future profits will be paid out as interest on .share capital. In accordance with the resolutions carried at the last annual meeting of shareholder*;, the amount owing on account of unpaid calls has been largely reduced during the year. Durins; the year Mr. W. Swadling, one of the directors, died, and the vacancy was filled by the appointment of Mr. G. Hollard, the chairman of_ the Kaponga Dairy Company. The retiring directors, Messrs. R. Dingle and _A. Brown, offer themselves for re-election.
