TROUBLE IN LABORERS' UNION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Monday. The General Laborers' Union had a stormy discussion with (regard to Mr. Eraser occupying the position of president, because he was not following the occupation of a general laborer. Evidence was taken by the committee, who brought in a recommendation against Mr. Eraser. This was considered at a special meeting, which was stormy, the chairman leaving the meeting. Subsequently the committee's recommendation was carried by a large maority. It was stated that Mr. Fraser declined to vacate his position until a referendum of the union was taken. The matter was further considered at a subsequent meeting, and it was resolved to ask Mr. Fraser to resign. Mr. Fraser intimated that he would appeal to the Federation of Labor. •
