The Hon. .Tas. llryee left Sydney yes terday for America, by the Ventura.
Mr. W. E. Bowdoii. of the local staff of the Railway Department, is leaving by the mail train this morning for his vacation.
Mr. Ferguson, who will referee in the League match between New South Wales and Taranaki, will arrive -by the Rarawa this morning. Mr. E. McKenzie (Wairarapa), who will referee in the Wellington-Taranaki match 011 Thursday, will arrive, by the Rarawa this morning, aecopipanied by Mrs. McKcnzie, and will be located at the; White Hart Hotel.
His many friends iu Eltham will"(says the Argus) regret to hear of the unfortunate accident that occurred to Mr. Lance Moi-r during the football match between Wanganui and South Taranaki at Wanganui on Saturday, when' he sustained a fracture of the upper jaw. lie was conveyed to Miss Barker's Home at New Plymouth, where Dr. Homo attended him yesterday morning, and it is satisfactory to learn'that the . patient should be sufficiently recovered on Thursday next to view one' of the two matches to be played that day.
