r SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. , Wellington. Last Night. The Meteorological Department published the following summary and forecast at 5 p.m. to-day:—Summary. The barometer has fallen steadily everywhere since Saturday morning. Showery weather has been reported iji Hawke's Bay and a south-east gale this afternoon at East Cape, but elsewhere fair weather lias continued with moderate and variable winds. Heavy seas are reported southward of East Cape. Forecast.—Present indications are for_a change In the weather conditions. The barometer is falling everywhere with increasing haze and cloudiness. Ram will follow in many parts of the country in about 24 hours. Easterly and northerly winds will probably prevail and increase in force. There are also indications for a storm area off East Cape affecting the east coast of the North Island.
