Received 24, 12.35 a.m. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright New York, August 23. The promoters of the Johnson-Jean-ette flight, after a conference with the Athletic Club, declared the fight off. They declare that no pressure was Drought to 'bear to induce them to cancel the fight. They simply desired not to allow Johnson to appear in any ring in New York State.
