ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
BURNED TO DEATH. By Telegraph.—Press. Association. Wellington, Thursdav. News has been received that Mrfc. Ryder, wife of the manager for Messrs. Skerman and Swainson, Hunterville, was. burned to death at Hunterville on Tuesday. Mr. Ryder left home early on Tuesday to attend a sale, and on returning at 8.30 p.m. found his hpms dcvstroyed by fire and the charred' remains of his wife were in the ruins. His little son escaped in night attire, and was subsequently found at a neighbor's house.
