Birdling's Farm on rjIHUURDAY, gEPTEMBER 10 Beginning at 10 o'clock a.m. PROGRAMME: Class 1 (DOUBLE FURROW).—First prize £5 5s and special: second, £2 10s; third, £1 10s. A special will he given for the best open up or ridge of 16 furrows. Class 2 (SINGLE FURROW).—First prize, £3 and special: second, £2; third, £1 ss. Class 3 (SINGLE FURROW).-Deep ploughing, not less than six inches, most suitable for root crops. First prize £3 and special; second. £2; third, £1 ss. A special prize of £1 10s will be awarded to the best turn-out in classes 1 and 2. Entrance Fees.—Class 1. ss; Classes 2 and 3, 4s. Separate entries for best turnout, Is in each class. Entries will be received up to 5 p.m. on FRIDAY, September G, at Waitara. JUMPING COMPETITIONS. To start at 2 p.m. Class ].—MAIDEN JUMPING. Fori riders and horses that have never won a I jumping contest. A sweepstake of 5s each, with a special prize from the Association. • Class 2.-OPEN .JUMPING. For allcomers. A sweepstake of 10s, with a special for the winner from the Association. Winner in each class to take 75 per cent.; second, 15 per cent.; third, 10 per cent. THROWING TITE SHEAF.—First prize £1; entrance 1 = - DISTANCE JUDGING. First prize, £1; entrance Is. CHAIN-STEPPING COMPETITIONS (sweepstakes). Rules and conditions on application. ADMISSION ONE SHILLING. Free Sheep Weight-guessing Competition. Refreshment Booth on the ground. A dinner will be held at 7 p.m. at Kerr's Waitara Hotel. Tickets, 2s (Sd.
