UNWARRANTED SUSPICIONS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney. August 10. The coroner has ordered McNamara'.s body to be exhumed. The police do not think it "was a case of murder. Received 10, 10 p.m. Sydney. August 10. Police investigations discredit MeNamara's big win, and indicate that he had only a few shillings on leaving Wollongong. It was stated yesterday that on Wednesday morning the brlv of a m%a named MacNamara was found in the Otford tunnel, on the 111awarra railway. It was supposed then that the man had been killed by accident, but foul play was suspected. Inquiries by the police disclosed that MacNamara went from Sydney to attend the Woolongong races, where he won €2OO. When the bodywas searched, all the money found was sevenpence. The police were of opinion that the man was robbed and hk bodythrown from the train.
