HOSPITAL NURSES.
ECJMOKS OF FURTHER TROUBLE AT AUCKLAND. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, August 18. It is reported that further trouble is likely to arise at tbe Auckland Hospital in connection with the staff nurses, of whom there are now rially 22 ill the institution. 11l the course of conversation with two of the staff nurses, a reporter was informed that no fewer than fourteen of their number have cither handed ill their resignations or intend to do so immediately. These nurses nr.! not probationers, but have obtained full mirs ing diplomas, and are capable of undertaking all the duties of the sisters who have charge of wards. Their complaint is that under present conditions they are no better off' than third-rear probationers, having to go on nitrM duty and generally to undertal'■ ■ - ' - k which thev consider that staff muses should not have to do.
