At a meeting of the Secondary Teachers' Association Professor Berry referred, to the remarkable progress of the Sydney University. In five years he stated the professorships there would be increased from eighteen to thirty-six, and the university was likely to become one of the finest in the Empire: Melbourne required a quarter or lialf a million to make it go ahead properly.
