SOUTH ISLAND SCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIP. By Telegraph—Press Ase*w»tf««. Timaru, Saturday. At a larger muster of primary school cadets to-day the South Island championship shooting shield was formally presented to Timaru South School, the winners for 1912. It was considered a very creditable win, as the corps the team comes from is not a large one. This is the eighth time the shield has been woa by South Canterbury schools. DEFENCE CLUB. The final shoot for the President's medal took place on Saturday afternoon.
