A SCENE OF DESOLATION. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 18. 5.5 p.m. Constantnople, August 17. The American man-o'-war Scorpion visited the scene of the earthquake. Three thousand were killed and six thousand injured. It is impossible to approach some of the villages, owing to the unburied corpses. Tremors continue, and numerous deep fissures have opened. Only a few houses are left on the sea front at Myriophiton. The Red Crescent Greek .Soci?tics are doing good work.
