FOOTBALL.
Elsewhere in our columns the Taranaki League apologises to the football public for the abandonment of the North v. South fixture, which was set down for decision at New Plymouth last Thursday. The League is in hopes of staging a special attraction at New Plymouth on August 29, in the shape of Taranaki v. New South AVales. In all probability Messenger will take part in the game.
