The executive discussed' in committee the advisableness of submitting certain questions relating to the union's platform to the candidates at the Egmont , by-election. It was resolved that the questions used in the last general elecJtion be put to candidates. ', ' SLY-GROG SELLING. Hokitika, Friday. As the result of a police raid at Hende's Ferry .on August 5, Patrick Nolan,' a baording-liouse keeper, was today fined £25 for unlawfully selling and keeping liquor for sale.
