SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological Department published the following summary and forecast at 5 p.m.:—Summary.—Fair weather has prevailed, but the temperature has been low. Moderate to strong easterly wiink have prevailed northward of East Ch|k' and Rawfiia, and variable winds else where. The barometer is high, but is showing a falling tendency everywhere. Forecast.—-Present indications are for moderate to strong easterly winds northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and northerly and westerly ■winds elsewhere; fair to cloudy weather is probable generally, with increasing haze and cloudiness in the northern and southernmost districts. The barometeV will probably fall everywhere soon.
