WAIPAWA RESOLUTION.

At a. meeting of the Sports Protection League the following resolutions were curried: —"That this league will support any legislation aiming at a reasonable increase in the days of racing, with a view to restoring to country clubs the totalisator permits they were deprived of by the Racing Commission; that this league would support any legislation for the repeal of the prohibition of the publication of dividends on races in New Zealand ot of starting prices on races beyond New. Zealand." A vote of thanks was accorded Mr. George H/unter for introducing an amendment to the Gaining Act. TAIHAPE CONCURS. Taiba'pe. Last Night. The executive of the local branch of the Sports Protection League last night, endorsed the 1 resolution of the Board of Control, favoring an extension of racing days and also the publication of dividends or starting prices.
