COLLIERY EXPLOSION.
MINERS ENTOMBED. By Assentation—Copyright. Berlin, August 3. An explosion of firedamp entombed moi■■• than a hundred in a Lothringen «olli.'ir at Bochnni. Sixty-five have been saved. Sixteen persons were severely injured, and twenty-live bodies have been recovered, but others have been burnt, as the colliery is on fire. THE DEATH ROLL. , Received 9, 10.10 p.m. Berlin. August 0. There were 650 miners in the pit, and 103 were killed and twenty dangerously injured. There were two explosions of firedamp. Coaldust followed the fire. A rescue party is busy in the shaft. It is feared that thirty are still entombed. THE ENTOMBED MEN. Received 10. 12.45 a.m. Berlin, August 9| The rescue of the ■entombed men is difficult, ewing to the disaster being a mile and a quarter from the shaft.
