This Company has been formed for the purpose of acquiring as FREEHOLDS (>1) Land in the midst of proven and producing oil lands at Moturoa; (2) Land on the FranJkley Road 'within seven minutes' walk of tlie Post Office at New Plymouth. (3) Land at Bell Block, and contiguous to land held iby the Taranaki (X.Z.) Oil Wells, Limited; And for carrying on boring operations for petroleum on the said land. The total area of land to l>e acquired is 5-1 acres (more or leas), situated in the County of Taranaki, New Zealand. The land at Moturoa is favorably sit uated between the bores of the Taranaki ON.Z.) Oil Wells, Limited —(Jfo. 2 bore is a'bout 200 yards to the East; No. 5 bore is about 300 ya;rds East North East; and No. 3 bore is about 150 yards to the West, all of which are flowing oil) —and four or more wells could be sunk with every prospect of getting payable oil, therefore commercial wells will 'be sunk, and not prospecting bores. The Directors anticipate being able to arrfinge with the Taranaki (N.Z.) Oil Wells, Limited, for a supply of gas from Nos. 2 or 3 bores for fuel purposes, and the latter Company has intimated its willingness to enable this to be done. This would effect a great saving in the working expenses of the Company. The vendors of the .properties have Ibeen most liberal in their terms (including as they do the acceptance of so many shares as part payment), which indicate complete confidence in the success of the venture. The properties of the Company being all FREEHOLD and FREE OF ROYALTIES, the Shareholders will gain the whole of the profits on the oil won, which should add considerably to the value of tlie shares, and prove a lucrative investment. In order to minimise the cost oi clerical work, applications for a less number than five shares'will not be entertained. The Promoters, by making the time of payment of calls to extend over a period of practically two years, anticipate the shares will be readily taken up by all classes of investors. Applications for shares may he forwarded to the Bankers of the Company (Union Bank of Australia, or any of its tranches 1 ) or to the Broker of the Company, Mr. D.
