TAKAXAKI 'WOOL, SKIN, HIDE AND TALLOW SALES. MR. NEWTON KING'S REPORT. ()■ Tuesday, July 30, I held my usual four-weekly sale of above produce, the catalogue comprising 21 bales and 116 sucks wool, 3120 sheepskins, *2O disks mid 8 tins tallow, 11*2*2 hides, and 352 calfskins, besides the usual assortment o; hair, cow tails, hones, etc. Wool Mostly crutchings offering, prices Ibeing par to y A il higher with late rates.

iSheepsfcins—These met with very keen competition, prices all round being y+d higher.

Hides—An excellent market for all classes still ruling, prices being uncliang- ] ed, with the exception of ordinary but- ] cher lines, which were slightly firmer. Tallow —Brisk competition, with a rise of 5a per ton, one exceptional line of ! seven casks realising £1 7s fid per cwt. j 'Calfskins —Keen enquiry for the small quantity offering afc advanced prices.
