ANNUAL MEETING. About, thirty persons attended tlie sixteenth annual meeting of the Warea Cooperative Dairy Factory,' Ltd., which was held in the Public Hall, Warea, yestcvdady. Mr. James Burgess presided. Tn their annual report for the year ended May 31, 1912, the directors reported that the milk received at Warea totalled 4,4-29,001 ib, w&h 160,5041b butter fat, giving an average test of 3.76. At Newall the figures were: Milk 2,785,25011). .butter-fat 104,9851b, and average test 3.77. This made a total of 7,214,347 lb of milk receivad, 271,3901b 'butter-fat, and an average test of 3.762. As regards the butter-making, 29,58011) butter-fat made 34,1931b butter. The over-run was 15.5 per cent. In cheese-making, the milk received at NeWall totalled 2,507,8791b, butter-fat 94,'8601b, cheese made (factory weight) 255,7051b; pounds milk to pounds cheese, Ojrflib; pounds cheese to pounds butterfat, 2.6961b. At Warea the milk received totalled 3,896,7041b; butter-fat, 146,950 lb; cheese made (factorv weight), 396,219 lb; pounds milk to pound cheese, 9.5311); pounds cheese to pound butter-fat, 2./lb; The total cheese made was 651,9241b. The amount remaining to the credit of profit and loss account on closing the books was £2325 18s sd. and out of this the directors appropriated £374 14s 2d to provide for the depreciation on properties and plant, leaving a balance of £1951 4« 3d—out of which they recommended a payment of interest at the rate of £4 per cent, per annum on full? paid shares, which would absorb £B9 7s 3d. awl a further payment of l%d per per lb on all butter-fat .supplied, which would amount to £1837 10s, and leave £24 7s to .be carried forward to next year, or otherwise dealt with. The average payment per l'b of butter-fat for the year, with the further payment, would be 13.2 approximately. The directors desired to place on record their deep regret at the de.ath of their colleague, the laic 'Mr. G. I'. .Tones, and their appreciation of the manner in which he always worked for the bcnelil of the companv and carried out his duties as a director.
