OPERATIONS IN" SUGAR. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Monday. To-day the Chief Justice gave judgment on interlocutory motions in connection with cases under the Conimojci'al Trusts Act. in Which the Colonial Sugar Refining Company and three loading Wellington wholesale, merchants avr charged. Two matters before the court were summonses for fur Uvea' discovery and a motion for production. Sir Robert Stout ordered the production of all documents discovered/in an affidavit made by 11. A. Gold, on behalf of the Merc-limits' Association of New Zealand, Incorporated, but not produced for inspection, including the minute book of the 'association, a copy of a letter from J. IT. Cock and Co. to the Merchants' Association of New Zealand, dated January 3, 191], iiiul all letters produced, parts of which have, been covered up, with respect to the parts so covered up. The letters ,refused by Gold on the ground of irrelevancy must lie produced. As to (he minutes of the Wi 'llmgton Merchants' Association, they do not seem to be in possession of defendants, nor in Gold's, possession, as an agent of defendants, and should not be ordered to be produced. . Mr. Treadwell mentioned that an appeal was probable.
