THE TRIANGULAR TESTS. j Adelaide, August 3.* j The South Australian delegates on J the Board of Control declare that they I were not consulted regarding the secreI tary's cable that the 'board does not j favor a continuance of the triangular I tests. London, August 2. Sporting Life says that apparently j the Board of Control does not apprecil ate the meaning of the decision caibled j on July 10, which showed the intention j of South Africa and Australia to visit (England in separate years, implying the abandonment of the triangular tests.. The Daily Mail says it is confident the Australians and South Africans have suffered heavily financially, partly owing to inclement weather and partly to lack of interest in the contests .between Ausi tralia and South Africa.
HOBBS INTERVIEWED. Received 4, 5.5 p.m. Lo.idon, August 3. Hobbs, interviewed, .said that he wa» unablo to see how future triangular matches could be a success. Therefore lie was not surprised at the Board of Control's conclusion. He added that as far as .England was concerned to a certain extent they would take people away from county cricket. In proof thereof he quoted the small gates everywhere. There was too much cricket.
