TOKO., (From our own correspondent.) '"A magnificent success!".was the verdict of all concerned in the drawing of the art union social in aid of our Domain running track, held on July 31. The weather was all that could* hi; desired, and the Coronation Ilall Was crowded .with a gay company, ,bent on having a good time, and at half-past two next morning one of the most pleasant gatherings broke up, everyone again speaking in .high appreciation of the splendid music supplied by Mrs. Bianchi, of Stratford, who lias become a great favorite with all dancers around here. Messrs •T. Kilpatrick and G. Morrison carried out the duties of M.C.'s in a creditable manner. The following ladies had charge of the supper room:—Mesdames Were, .1. Griffiths, G. E. Bocock, .1. The fire started in the kitchen chimney, and before Mrs. McPliee could get help the bouse was burning furiously and all that was saved \Vere a few articles of ■furniture out of one of the front rooms. I understand that the insurance amounted to £OSO, the policy being held by the Guardian ollice. Our creamery is to open next week. The inside was quite a different appearance to the dilapidated appearance it had last season. The whole of the inside has been thoroughly renovated, and the machinery has been - arranged more conveniently than before. TATARAIMAKA.
