Finn and quiet; there is a holiday tone about the market. ■ At the sheepskin sales 8022 traks were catalogued, but 1100 were not shown, owing to the strike. There was igood competition, and nearly all were sold;
merinos were very firm, and; crossbreds a farthing dearer. TaMow. —Stocks 5097 • casks, imports 2847 casks, deliveries 1702 casks. Butter.—Firm; Danish 129» to 1303. Cargoes a,re firmly and; there is litle offering; 40s is asked -and 30s Od obtainable for New South Wales oft' the coast; 30s is asked for Victorian May, and 37s fid for Australian January-February cargoes; ISSs is being paid for parcels, of a July shipment.
