In regard to the cable message from London to the effect that Dr. Forbes Ross had obtained splendid results "with the use of potassium in the treatment of desperate cases of cancer, an Auckland surgeon informs the Star that experiments liave been carried 011 for a long time with the use of potassium, "but I did not know that there was a prospect of success being attained to anything like the degree indicated in the cable." The Auckland authority stated that potassium had been used both internally and as an injection for the treatment of cancer, and he himself had experimented with it about a year ago. In this case, however, the results were not sufficiently encouraging to cause him to persevere. He added that Dr. Forbes Ross was an eminent authority.
