Clifton and, Waimate, the respective winners in, the Northern and Southern divisions, meet to decid.e who is to be the champion Rugby team of Taranaki. This honor has gone to South Taramki during the past few seasons, Waimate having proved the winners on several ,occasion's until last year, when Olaaiawa, were champions. Clifton intend putting up a good fight in order to brinsr 'the championship up noTth, whilst Waimate ara equally confident of retaining the honor, so that spectators can be assured of a rattling good game. The match betwoen a New Plymouth team and a fifteen chosen from" Okato and Opunake will take place at RaJiotu today, and not at Okabo as published in yesterday's paper. The Taranaki Maoris intend journeying to Rotor.ua next wteek to play the natives of the Hot Lakes district. A trial match, North v. South Taranaki, will be held at Okaiawa on Wednesday, and the ohoseoi fifteen will leave by the train next morning.
