Mr. Stanley Shaw waa a passenger for Auckland by the Rarawa last night. Mr. E. V. Spear, inspector for New Zealand of the Commercial Union: Assurance Co., Ltd., isi officially visiting New Plymouth. Members were highly eulogistic of the work done by Cr. Gleeson on the council, and a letter will be forwarded to him to that effect.
