THE CADETS.

GENERAL GODLEY EXPLAINS, By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. General Godley's views on the junior cadet system are explained in a 'letter which he has written in reply to a resolution of a meeting of junior cadet officers protesting against 'his remarks before the Education Commission. He regrets that his remarks were taken bv the cadet officers as in any way insulting to them. Nothing was further from his mind than to wound their feelings. He explained that he meant the word "bogus'' with respect to the military aspect of organisation, and certainly did not apply it to the officers. General Godlcy concludes his letter by savin" that the cadet, officers .should meet'him in Christchurch on August 12.
