THE SALISBURY PLAIN CONTESTS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 31, 12.20 a.m. London, July 30. Thirty-two English and foreign aeroplanes have entered for the Salisbury Plain contest. A SUCCESSFUL BALLOON FLIGHT. Received 31, 1.20 a.m. New York, July 30. The balloon Uncle Sam, piloted by H. E. Honeywell, of St. Louis, starting from Kansas City, won the elimination race preparatory to the Gordon Bennett flight. It was thirty-five hours in the air, and covered 925 miles. A storm forced a descent.
