Last Monday evening Mrs. H. Bai. gave a most enjoyable bridge party, am. tlio prizes were won by Mrs. Fitzherbert (first) and Miss K. Humphries (second). The hostess received her guests in a pale heliotrope ninon, over a silk foundation, corsage deftly finished with cream luce; Mrs. Fitzherbert. black silk; Mrs. 1 Paul, cream .satin, faced with purple velvet; Mrs. Percy Webster, cream ninon blouse, black silk skirt; Miss Humphries, black silk, with gold sequined net over skirt; Miss K. Humphries, cream silk; Mrs. H. Russell, pretty periwinkle blue silk, lightly relieved with black; Mrs. Dodgshun, very pretty pale blue paillette, corsage 'trimmed with handsome bronze-tinted embroideries; Mrs. J. Wilson, black silk; Mrs. Home, cornflower blue silk, relieved with black; Mrs. Walker, black silk, with black embroidered net yoke; Miss Stewart, saxe-blue silk, with mole-colored over-dress; Miss Testar, pale blue 'silk, cream lace shoulder scarf; Mrs, Addenbrooke, charming cream lace robe, over a black silk foundation; Miss K. Hamerton, black silk; Mrs. Mathews, cornflower-blue silk, corsage trimmed with Oriental embroideries; Mrs. Courtney, black silk, with jet trimmings; Mrs. C. Weston, prunelle-colored paillette silk, trimmed with shaded embossed trimmings on corsage; Mrs Heard, cream chifTon taffeta, softly finis>hed with chiffon; Mrs. Burgess, primrose-colored ninon over satin, with lovely black charmeuse opera coat, with revers embossed in Oriental designs; Mrs. N. King, pretty grey silk, faced with black. Mrs. Dodgshun entertained a number of her friends last Tuesday at a bridge party, and the prizes were won by Mrs. H. Russell (first) and Mrs. Fitzherbert (second). Amongst those present were: Mrs. Dodgshun, lovely pale blue charmeuse, veiled in black ninon; Miss Stanford, dove-grey silk; Miss Tidy, black and white silk; Miss Wood, amethystcolored velvet; Mrs. H. Russell, black silk, with tucker of real lace; Mrs. N. King, black chiffon taffeta; Mrs. Mathews, cornflower-blue silk; Mrs. Chancy, black silk, pretty petunia-colored shoulder scarf; Mrs. Blundell, navy blue taffeta, cream lace berthe; Mrs. Fitzherbert, black silk; Mrs. Burgess, navy blue silk, with floral chiffon over-dress; Mrs. H. Baily, black silk; Miss A. Hempton, moss-green silk, finished with Oriental embroideries; Misses Humphries (2), black silk, relieved with cream lace; Miss Hamerton, black silk; Miss Read, cream emboridered silk; Mrs. McKellar, black chiffon taffeta; Mrs. J. Wilson; Mrs. Addenbrooke, black silk, with sequinned trimming; Mrs. Courtney, black silk, lightened with cream lace.
On the following evening Miss Dodgshun gave a jolly little euchre party to her boy and girl friends, and the prizes were won by Miss Blundell and Mr. E. Outfield (first .honors) while Miss Mathews and Mr. R. Bafly received consolation prizes. Amongst those present were:—Mrs. Dodgshun, black chikon taffeta, finished with beaded guimpe; Miss Dodgshun, pale green ninon over a silk foundation; Miss Bewley, saxe-blue velvet, cream lace berthe; Miss Glasgow, French grey ninon; Miss C. Leatham, white chiffon taffeta; Miss Blundell, bottle-green silk, lightened with cream lace; Miss Kyngdon, rose-pink silk; Miss Mathews, cream silk; Miss K. Mills, pale pink silk; Miss L. Fitzherbert,. blac,k ninon over silk; Miss OoTrie, white silk; and Messrs C. Webster. Pott. Simpson (2), King (2), Bewley, Outfield, R. Baily and I. Grant. PERSONAL ITEMS. Miss Gale, of Sydney, is the guest of Miss Young, of Vogeltown.
